Violence, video games, television, and friends are all powerful influences on the lives of your kids. You disagree? Compare what you see today against what you had when you were a child. See the difference? It is huge! You need to be able to combat these forces and prevail, especially in today's world. How do you combat and prevail over these forces? The answer is make learning about God and the Bible fun and enjoyable. For too long Bible studies for kids have amounted to a lot of yawns and boredom. A dull and dreary approach to biblical teachings will fail to command the attention of a child. Let's face it, if you do not have their attention then it is guaranteed that something or someone else will.

Why do kids love the video games? They are exciting, challenging, and fun to play. Why not make learning about the Bible fun and exciting? Take this knowledge and apply it to teaching kids the Bible and Christian values. The payoff will be well worth it. You will have adult children with a greater love and knowledge of God than many of their peers. Would you like to see your kids have a genuine interest in Christianity? I do. I am sure you do as well.

Ok. How do I go about making Christianity fun and exciting for my four year old! The answer, computer and video games designed for Christian children with excitement and values all rolled into one game.

One way that you can give them interest in the Bible and its values is to use Bible games that are educational and fun for your children. Lets face it, in today's world kids love video games and intense interaction. The game makers know it and it is time parents use this to their own advantage. Buy some Christian video games. Buy Christian software for kids. The time spent playing them with the family and the joy of seeing them learn about the Bible will be worth the money spent on the games. The following are three games that are a good starting point for the spiritual education of children.

With younger children a software game to buy is Adventures in Odyssey and the Treasure of the Incas. This is an excellent strategy game that teaches children how to incorporate critical thinking skills and at the same time instilling Christian teachings in the child. It is a great learning game that is fun and is worth the money to buy. The great thing about this game is that it rewards family values and trust. Many levels of the game require leaps of faith thereby letting your child get used to the idea of trusting.

Instilling trust and thinking skills into a child at an early age is a worthwhile task. There are so many kids out there who cannot imagine trusting something unseen like God, let alone another human being. Think of how many adults you know who do not trust anything or anyone. When you lose the ability to trust, then faith is nonexistent and life becomes a toilsome labor every day. Do not let that happen to your child.

Start your child off right and look at some games like the Beginner's Bible: Classic Bible Stories. This software will begin to introduce a child from ages 3 to 8 to three fun filled stories of classic Biblical tales. This is important! Here is where the learning will become fun and interactive! It is a big step and buying the game is well worth the money. In this critical first step kids learn about the value of friendship, faith, and kindness. The classic story of Noah's ark, Moses, and young David's adventure in becoming a king are all told and interacted in. Take time and interact with the kids. Their spiritual future is in your hands.

Lastly is the Bible Game for PlayStation 2. This is for the whole family and can be enjoyed by all ages. Interaction, coupled with action quizzes are put into the game and provide a great way to do a bible study for the family. How about that! You can buy a PlayStation game and have a Bible study at the same time! The family can learn about the Bible, laugh, and joke with each other. Kids learn the bible very easily and have fun with this game.

The call is out there. Capture you child's attention and make Christian learning fun. Heed the cry. Attention! Wanted, adults who make learning about the Bible fun! Our kids need our help in today's world. Step up to the plate and give them some interactive Bible teaching. You will not be disappointed.

I am the father of four children all of whom have a love of God as well as reading. I come from a publishing background and have a love of books and music that has carried over into my children as well.
